When he was still on the force, homicide investigator David Gurney was featured in New York magazine as an NYPD "Super Detective." Note: received this a while ago from a goodreads giveaway. Thanks!A departure from my usual genre, but I was in the mood for a thriller crime mystery and this book definitely fits that description. Great Thriller. Inteligent and surprising. I wish I could see the movie based on that novel. Kevin Spacey is ma favorite to play Dave Gurney. Really looking forward to see it.

Intriguing, captivating, thought-provoking - all of those cliched descriptions are appropriate when describing Think of a Number. There is a deliberateness, a focus on logic that is both unique and appealing. The murders themselves are not the focus but rather the psychological aspect of solving a c...
