Odd word choices, repeated words and awkward turns of phrase made this story very hard for me to read. The characters felt flat and underdeveloped. Their interactions felt stiff, and stilted, and I never felt any real connection or chemistry between them at all, and the sex scenes felt a bit forced ...
Not for me. Found myself skimming rather then reading.

A well-written historical (WWII) story of two Royal Flying Corps officers with a notable age difference. Great, almost surreal tone to the story that only serves to reinforce the story line. The story feels surprisingly complete, for being so short.Love the title and the opening. Thanks Gil!
Enchanting WWI story that follows Freddy and Hugh through the war years. The language used adds to the otherworldly feeling to the story. It feels like peeping through a looking glass. Favorite quote:He still had the fresh alive scent of an athlete who’d exerted himself manfully that day.
