Perry-Lynn Moffitt has been an author and editor for several years. Her first book grew out of her experience of suffering multiple miscarriages. "A Silent Sorrow: Pregnancy Loss; Guidance and Support for You and Your Family" was written as a result of Perry-Lynn's training and work as a lay bereavement counselor with the Pregnancy Loss Support Program of the National Council of Jewish Women, New York section, a group she has been affiliated with since 1983. The second edition of "A Silent Sorrow" was published by Routledge in 2000 and a British version was issued by Hodder & Stoughton in 1994. Perry-Lynn has also written a number of articles about coping with pregnancy loss for a variety of magazines and journals and has spoken at various professional conferences in the United States and Canada. She regularly delivers seminars on the subject of pregnancy loss for childbirth educators and doulas. Perry-Lynn's second book, "Johnson & Johnson's Guide to Pregnancy and Early Parenthood," was one of the first books to be distributed solely in CD-ROM format through Johnson & Johnson's international network of doctors, nurse practitioners, midwives, and other professionals. Her third book, "The Entrepreneurial Conversation," was a departure from her original inspiration for becoming a writer, but its message of enabling anyone to have effective, win-win discussions with others can be appreciated by all readers. She has since served as an editor on a number of books related to business and management including Bankable Business Plans. Before she became a writer and editor, Perry-Lynn had a successful career in arts administration. She served as manager of San Francisco Opera's touring and educational subsidiary, Western Opera Theater, and was Director of Affiliate Artists' national Appointment Residency Program. She became an entrepreneur when she founded Corporate Performance Inc., a company that designed and produced community residencies for performing artists which were sponsored by major corporate Public Relations Departments. Perry-Lynn welcomes comments from her readers!
