I was going to use this for a square. But since I skimmed the last 200 pages, I'm not really comfortable using it. (Undoubtedly because I have so many books that qualifiy for squares). Moore's story telling is good and I love the historic notes. So why two stars to this good look at the Ripper? ...
This graphic novel combines chicken scratch artwork and uneven lettering with lacklustre storytelling. It was confusing and boring at the same time. I cannot recommend it at all. The only reason I wasn’t completely lost at the start was because I’d seen the movie years ago. The artwork made it almos...
Ripperology is a mess of theories and conspiracies, an impossible puzzle which obsessive writers turn into narratives that tell us more about the author than about crime or murder. Moore knows this as well as anyone, pointing out in his afterward that the whole thing has become a silly game, a mastu...
Jack the ripper story. Interesting.

Um, I didn't really like it. Actually, I didn't even finish it, which is really rare for me. But I couldn't figure out what was going on, and the writing was hard to read, and i just...got bored. So I stopped.
There is so much to this book (graphic novel) that I really did need a few days to digest it as well as a chance to reread a few of the notes at the end.I do realise that it's one of the repudiated theories of who the Ripper was but it's still a compelling read and the somewhat indistinct art lends ...
