Peter Magliocco writes from Las Vegas, Nevada, where he's edited the lit-zine ART:MAG for over 25 years. He has poetry/fiction online and in print publications like GOLD DUST, UNLIKELY STORIES, TRYST, ASCENT ASPIRATIONS, THE BEAT, NOTHING.NO ONE.NOWHERE, SCARS, AND MISFIT MAGAZINE. He's been Pushcart Prize nominated for poetry four times, and his most recent chapbooks are The Still Birth of Beauty (Red Bird Chapbooks), Imparadised (Nerve Calliope Media), Nude Poetry Garage Sale (Virgogray Press), The Heaven of Words (Propaganda Press), Discarded Poems (Scars Publications), Ghost Dancers Leaping from a Tome (Scars Publications), and Texting Poems to Darwin's Ghost (a Kindle ebook from Moon Willow Press). He has a new poetry book, Poems for the Downtrodden Millennium, due Spring of 2014 from The Medulla Review Publishing. As for fiction, a recent story of his was collected in the sci-fi anthology, Dead Neon: Tales of Near-future Las Vegas, from the University of Nevada Press. He's also been Pushcart nominated for fiction, and an article on him and his 2006 poetry book, Ex Literotica, appeared in the Las Vegas Review-Journal in 2012. Some of his speculative sci-fi novels include Nu-Evermore (Trafford Publishing) and The Burgher of Virtual Eden (Publish America). His new sci-fi novel SPLANX is forthcoming in early 2014 from Cosmic Egg Books.-- Peter Magliocco was born in Glendale, California, in 1948 and educated in the public schools there. He earned a B.A. in fine art from California State University at Northridge. He's single and a military veteran of the Viet Nam war era, and has worked in the security field for several years while freelancing his art, poetry, and fiction to various alternative and literary-oriented publications.
