THE HISTORY OF US is a work of fiction set in the East Anglian seaside town where I grew up, describing it as it was at the start of the 1980s.This novel was shortlisted in the fiction category of the East Anglian Book Award 2009.WHAT REMAINS was published in September 2013. This novel uses the same setting as my previous book.Writing as Philip Hansell, I am also a composer of music for amateur performers, with around forty pieces in print with a Phylloscopus Publications, Sempre Music, Sound the Trumpets and EMU Publishing.
