Dr. Phil Samuel is Chief Innovation Officer for BMGI. An integral part of BMGI's management team since 2005, Phil brings more than a decade of experience to his role as CIO, helping clients in-source creativity and increase organic growth potential. Phil's counsel is invaluable for any innovation, growth and transformation initiative, and he has become a trusted advisor for executives in a variety of industries.Dr. Samuel has been active in the management of innovation, design and operations areas for over 20 years. He has consulted with numerous industrial and governmental organizations including Alberta Research Council, Ameriprise Financial, AXA, Baxter BioScience, Bechtel, BMW, ConocoPhillips, Environment Canada, Hess Corporation, Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, Johnson Controls, Kaiser Permanente, Merrill Lynch, McKesson, National Research Council of Canada, Nike, Praxiar, Rhodia, Schlumberger, Saint-Gobain, Textron, Tyco and Vodacom. Dr. Samuel holds a Ph. D. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Calgary and an MBA from Arizona State University. In addition, Phil is a dynamic speaker and published author, whose most recent credits include the books, "Design for Lean Six Sigma: A Holistic Approach to Design and Innovation" and "The Innovator's Toolkit: 50+ Techniques for Predictable and Sustainable Organic Growth."
