I started developing software with Access 2.0 in 1995 - so I definitely believe that every application needs a database. It's also the reason I get so passionate about SQL and normalized databases. I've written workgroup applications in VB, and enterprise business processes in C#. The "little ERP tracking app" I built in ASP and Oracle became part of the SevenSpace Spyglass suite, which was bought by Sun Microsystems and blended into their enterprise IT management suite. (I suspect by the end the VBScript stuff may have been replaced, but I'm not positive)I worked for Microsoft for six years as an Office Developer Evangelist, and was one of the first sales engineers in their BI group. I've since left Microsoft, and now just tool around creating SharePoint architectures for government agencies. And a big hello to bh28630!
