I decided to read these essays because Appel definitely is a talented writer, but I found this torture to get through. A few essays were okay, but there wasn't one in there that made me think 'hey, I'm glad I read this book'.

This book is different to the usual books that I read. There were parts where I started to lose concentration, but on the whole, I did enjoy. Am looking forward to reading more of Jacob Appel's books.
