Pierre Collet-Derby is an author and illustrator of children's books based in Henderson, NV.Born and raised in France, Pierre spent most of his childhood doodling, particularly during math class. Growing up he always knew that he would make a living drawing characters from his imagination.Pierre studied animation in Paris and has worked for over ten years in the animation and video game industry in France, Canada and the United States. He then realized that illustrating and writing children's books was his true calling and now spends his days drawing pictures, writing stories and strumming his guitar (or ukulele depending on the mood).He recently illustrated "The Boulder Brothers: Meet Mo & Jo" by Sarah Lynn and "Goodnight Selfie" by Scott Menchin. Pierre is currently working on his debut author/illustrated picture book, "Barnaby", and developing other exciting stories.Pierre is a proud member of SCBWI and is represented by Bright Literary Agency.
