The ESSENTIAL baking book. If you like to bake you MUST seek this out on eBay or from used-book sources. I don't know what I'd do without it!
A lot of simple, easy entertaining ideas and tips, quick recipes. Most were not to my taste however.

For the pie section alone, I love this book. So many different pie recipes, all gathered together. Berry pies and tarts galore, and pumpkin, Fluffy Key Lime, Golden Pecan, Chocolate Pecan, Rhubarb Strawberry Tart, Banana Split Tart, and Country Apple Pear Tart, not to mention all the breads, cakes, ...
Lot of good recipes, from Chocolate Cheesecake to Paradise Pumpkin Pie, Raspberry Cheesecake Bars, cream cheese Sugar Cookies, Glazed Almond Amaretto Cheesecake. Yes, I like my cheesecake! And so many more, many of which are great to do with kids and have cute, festive decorations!
