Although I was a fan of the other Dangerous Angels books, this one felt less like Francesca Lia Block than someone trying to sound like Francesca Lia Block. The poetry was missing and the magic felt flat.

Weetzie Bat and Witch Baby are little modern classics of YA lit. I've read some of Block's other books, and they just aren't as strong.
