DNF at 30%Ya know, I wasn't crazy about Spoils of War so I wasn't expecting much here, but I already had it so I figured why not? That was a bad decision on my part. A decision I rectified by closing the book at 30% and wiping my hands of it.I won't even get into the storyline, I frankly can't be bot...
It...wasn't bad, I suppose, but Micah seemed way too self-aware at the beginning especially since he's only been at wherever that is for 2 weeks. I don't think he'd be able to break years and years and years of conditioning during his most impressionable years that easily. He also seems to have sudd...
When a Prince who is a master only wants to be the slave, how does the slave respond?Micah is still reeling from all the changes. Gahh, I loved the first book and this sequel was nothing like I was expecting, but it was still good! However, I wished there could have been epilogue! After the suffering Micah endured, it would have been perfect if we could have caught a glimpse of them in the future happy and making love together...
I've been waiting for this sequel for years...
4.5 stars. I really enjoyed this follow up to The Spoils of War. We see how confused and torn Micah is about his place in the world, Eli's love and the extent of his magic only he knows exists. We are captive to his insecurities given the degradation he suffered through while he was captured under X...
