Not really a mystery, but along those lines. Most of the characters were well drawn (except Gemma, the girlfriend -- she was a bit of a blank to me) and the story was well-paced with some humor.
This was my first Ruth Rendell book and it was OK, but didn't blow me away. I was expecting something a bit more dark and scary and mysterious..
