I haven't read yet the others books in the series, but I really like the world that Lissa Price has created. I liked to read an extract with Michael's point of view. I think extra glimpses into series through short stories can be a nice bonus for fans, but sometimes they just end up being unnecessary and add nothing to the world. This one definitely falls into the latter. It doesn't help that it was so short and boring.
I can't understand why the French & German versions are free in the UK Amazon store but you have to pay for the English one!
