Well the second book is so much better from the first one , I loved it although it could be better , I wish the romance was more intense and the sex more erotic and passionate than it was . But all in all I enjoyed it .

Brandon and JonathanOk, this one was so much more than the first book. In Resistance my eyeballs about rolled out of my head. I might have contemplated 17 different ways to kick Jonathan in the junk and beat Brandon's head up against the wall.Awakening gave me a sense of peace that Resistance didn...

“Strong enough themselves to weather the storm that was largely their own brewing, they turned loose and plundered the wrecks that floated about them.” ~Jack London, The Iron Heel Never has a quote been truer for the story of Jonathan and Bran. After reading the first book in this series, I was worried that there was going to be more of the same in this next book. I am so happy to say this was everything the first book wasn't, and I enjoyed the first book a lot.

Loved the way this book concluded the story of Jonathan and Brandan. The subject matter is still compelling and intense (Jonathan is a sadist after all). However this book was really focused on the development of the characters and the complex relationship between Jonathan and Brandan.

Still thinking...I don't buy the personality changes they both had at the beginning, the stuff with Solange and Devon made me rage, the Big Sur stuff felt odd and unfinished, and I don't think their HEA is actually a healthy relationship. It felt too Stockholm syndrome. I'm going to review in a day ...

This is a little weird for me because I'm on Ch 5 now and just found out that this is actually the second book of a series. I actually read it because I wanted to see how realistically written the Silicon Valley setting would be. I'm still not entirely certain. I think it's because usually I read BD...
