All I'm going to say at the moment is. It could have been better. I was gripped enough by wanting to know what was happening, but felt let down by character building. Most of them felt wooden. This book was lacking in believability.
Kinda disappointed this isn't a series. There is obviously a lot of room for future story lines. Maybe some day. I devoured this book and would love to read more of this world and these characters. I feel like we just got started.
Enjoyable lead and secondary characters. It got a little rushed at the end, but I liked the world this was set in. Easily would have worked as a series (this is a stand alone).
So much promise from the book blurb - but the author completely failed to deliver on it. Main character was very blah, in fact whole story was blah. Don't waste your money.

She is a new college graduate in forensic science who is a med school dropout. Things got in the way. Like a conviction that her step...

3.5For me, the story didn't pick up until 1/3 into the book. I like the main character well enough, but I felt that there was a lot going on, a lot of back story and explanations. Once the story did pick up, though, I enjoyed where the characters were going. There were some pleasant surprises writte...
