Prequel to the amazing Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and I prefer that. There were some interesting aspects. I also have the sequel, which theoretically I will get through sometime soonish.
3,5 - 4 starsI really enjoyed it - I love Jane Austen, and zombies. So this was a fun summer read.1. Jane Austen and Zombies2. Awesome warrior girls and fighting scenes3. ILLUSTRATIONS!
No, I didn't finish it. Maybe I didn't give it a fair chance; I'm not into zombies, but it was given to me as a gift and I felt obliged to read it.Eurgh. The time frame this book is set in used to be so beautiful. I'm not a huge fan of Jane Austen, but I can appreciate her works for what they are, a...
Though intended as a prequel to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, this is a book in itself. I like the plot twists and the fights, but it didn't satisfy my questions regarding the Bennet's backstory, as I was waiting for the sisters' trip to China (as mentioned in the original Pride and Zombies book)...
This was a fun read. This is apparently a prequel to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Seth Grahame Smith (which I have yet to read, although it was published first). It is set a few years prior to Pride and Prejudice, in the year when Elizabeth was set to come out into society. In this telling, ab...
in a sentence or so: our favorite Bennet girls have much to learn if they are going to defend themselves against an onslaught of zombies unmentionables that are popping up all over the place.while attending a funeral in, the man in the coffin - that they were all expecting to put in the ground later...
I’ve said that my biggest problem with Pride & Prejudice & Zombies is that it never really lets loose and has fun with the subject. And it wouldn’t be as much of a problem with me if it wasn’t for the existence of Dawn of Dreadfuls. This reads like the book the original P&P&Z should have been. Hocke...
Oh, this one was much better than the first P&P&Z.Maybe it's because Jane wasn't actually involved. Or maybe it was because I didn't already know the general direction the story was taking. Either way, this was a fun read. And really, that's all that matters to me when the weather is warm and the...
I heard this story once from a friend of mine – I make no claims to its veracity – about a guy who ghost-wrote an autobiography for some minor Playboy bunny/starlet. It was a good gig for a struggling writer: he spent some weeks organizing the depressingly non-sordid details of a woman's life that c...
Ok, surprisingly, this was pretty good. I didn't know how I was going to feel reading a prequel of P&P without the angst of Darcy and Lizzy but I found that with a good enough premise, an already existing solid novel and the character development that even Ms. Austen would appreciate, I could get ov...
