When deciding to write a book to help people get sh*t done, I also read many other books on the subject to get a feel for what was already out there. If this is the first time you’ve read into the subject of improving your productivity, good! From the books I’ve researched prior to writing this one, I don’t think any could realistically be effective for most people who struggle in this area. If this is your first stop, rest assured that your time is well invested. The information found in the aforementioned books was usually decent (sometimes not), but that’s not the issue. The problem is, if you procrastinate, you have immense difficulty getting started on tasks, and these other authors fail the reader where they need it most. That goes for any how-to book, but especially if you struggle from a debilitating condition that makes it hard for you to take action. They don’t even address the underlying cause of the illness that they’re writing about! That’s like a personal trainer telling you how to exercise, but never physically showing you the movements or writing you a weekly workout plan. What do you think your success rate could realistically be without targeted practice of the concepts you’ve learned? The reason you procrastinate is not because you can’t Google how to overcome it, the reason is because you don’t know how to take concise and targeted action. As originally promised in the introduction, this is where you will become a life-long action seeker.
Disclaimer: This book will take the average reader about one hour to complete.
I’ve designed it this way so you can read in one sitting and not put off until later.
If you can dedicate one hour toward ending procrastination right now, I believe you have what it takes to kick the habit for good.
Make a promise to yourself that once you begin reading, you will finish this book to the very end.
Also, I will not be held responsible for the amount of “bad-assery” your life will take on once your master the concepts in this book.
