Fallen Kingdoms, mysterious prophecies, armies, demons and a KICK ASS girl warrior with a grand destiny that will take this adventurous tale a long, long way! Ordering Warrior tomorrow!
Hmm, this is a hard book to review. Overall, I enjoyed Prophecy but some things just didn't seem right to me. Prophecy was pretty cool in some parts, dull in others, and sometimes the parts just moved to fast to catch anything. (There were so many "bad guys" I started getting confused about who did ...
It's really a 3.5. There's such a thing as TOO many superpowers, but I found Kira an engaging heroine. I also like how some of the characters are not completely good or evil. Good to have some realistic grey areas. Curious to see what happens next.
After reading Prophecy, by Ellen Oh, I went to Goodreads and read the reviews. A lot of people were comparing it to Graceling or Eon. Well, I haven't read any of those books, so I cannot compare it to either. I do, however, know that Graceling has a female protagonist who is almost like Kira in Pro...
In the Seven Kingdoms, Kira is the only female in the king’s army as well as the prince’s body guard. Able to spot demons possessing humans, she becomes the city of Hansong’s only hope when all signs point to invasion. My favorite thing about this novel was hands-down the inspiration taken from Korea...
As soon as I read the summary for Prophecy by Ellen Oh, I knew I had to read it! I mean, a new fantasy series with demons and dragon kings and a kickass female warrior? Be still my heart!Sometimes books keep being compared to other much-loved books and this isn't always fair in my opinion. Because w...
Originally Prophecy was not even on my radar but after trading for it on YA Book Exchange I was super excited to start this novel as the premise sounded so interesting and original. Unfortunately, I didn’t live up to my expectations.Kira, the heroine, is a demon slayer and the only women in the King...
A book among books, 'The Prophecy' is truly a Chosen One - bringing light, fantasy and a brilliant adventure to readers' bookshelves.I never thought I'd find the book. You know the one. Like the chocolate brownie, or the guy, or the place where no one can disturb your reading experience no matter ho...
Can be read on The Social Potato. Thanks Edelweiss and HarperTeen for providing me a digital copy of this book in exchange for a review. This did not influence my review in any way.Okay, as a Filipino who pretty much grew up in a society obsessed in Korean songs and soap operas, I've come to respect ...
2.5 stars. I agree with a few other reviews that the writing could be more engaging. I like the world and the thought that's gone into it, but in the end I was a bit bored and didn't find myself caring about any of the characters. A good middle grade read though.
