Nikki Glass is hiding from her boss Anderson because she does not want to track down Anderson's enemy. So she takes a case that is pretty much unsolvable. The story is cute and well paced but I missed the rest of the gang that to me makes the series great.
Shape-shifters, blackmail, guns and a few drinks - what more could you ask for in Book #2.5 of the Nikki Glass series?!

A meaty little novella! though there could have been more of Jamaal...I actually enjoyed this more than the third book (set after this story), [b:Rogue Descendant|15744141|Rogue Descendant (Nikki Glass, #3)|Jenna Black|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1344786645s/15744141.jpg|21432684].
I really enjoy this series, though I thought this short story was a little lacking. I guess I missed the rest of Liberi. I do like Jack, but I want to see more of Jamaal. It was good to tide me over and bring me back into this world before the next book comes out at the end of this month.

You don't, in reality, have to, but, it makes things much more clearer if you do eventually read the ser...
Nikki has a nice mundane case. Well, she has chosen a nice mundane case because it will get her out of the house and away from Anderson asking her to use her Artemis hunting skills to exact his revenge. And this client does sound very desperate since many other private detectives have turned her down...

If you haven’t read her series before, this might be a good place to start, although I did have some frustrations with the novella itself. Nikki Glass is a private inves...
