There's no love lost between Harry Dresden, the only wizard in the Chicago phone book, and the White Council of Wizards, who find him brash and undisciplined. But war with the vampires has thinned their ranks, so the Council has drafted Harry as a Warden and assigned him to look into rumors of black...

Something magical and nasty is attacking people. Michael's daughter is in trouble and she manipulated Dresden to help her. Her boyfriend Nelson was in jail and needed bail. It turned out that Molly's friend were in trouble when monsters attacked a convention that they were attending. Like a hor...

Let me guess, after this one, this series starts to get really good? Because that's the lie y'all been telling me for three books now, and this was definitely not better than the previous one. But it did manage to be twice as long as it needed to be. I like magic that requires prep work. I d...

Harry continues as usual which means that he puts his foot in a whole heap of trouble. Well he did have quite a bit of help in aiming that foot of his that has to be said. There se...

Better than the last couple I read but will give it a break for a while. I chose to read this series as my husband loved them. I can see some of the reasons. The characters are light and clear cut, the stories are hero tales and if you love superheroes then this would be a totally suitable series. F...

6 Super-Quick, New-Year's-Eve-And-I-Have-To-Finish-This-Year's-Reading-Challenge Reasons I Finally Gave A Harry Dresden Novel Five Flippin' Stars1. Harry eased way the heck up on the two things that always make me roll my eyes in Dresden File novels: the obligatory "People don't believe in the super...
