BR, March 7th with JulieI enjoy reading historicals from time to time. Interesting and quite shocking to read what it was like living as a gay man in the 19th century.David is convinced he is not entitled in starting a family by marrying a woman. He couldn’t do that to her while his very own desire ...

Had such fun reading with my girl Els again...it had been too long. ❤️❤️I'm torn a bit on this one and hovered over 4 stars for most of the book. What begins as a furtive...

But somehow over the years it's just failed to hold my interest or entice me to continue reading it. So why? You might ask would I read this book. Well it was part o...

Waffling between 3 & 4 stars. I see the potential in David and Balfour, and I am eager for the next book. I liked the story. Just a bit too much navel gazing by David for my taste. Also, bad cover. Nothing about it says historical to me.
