I can't think about this book without thinking about his dad, Elmore's writing. It spent a little too much time on side stories that didn't advance the plot and got a little distracted trying to get in the heads of the characters, but the underlying story was kind of gripping. Full-paced story, thought not as intense as some books that I have read in this genre. It is well written, though, and I enjoyed it.
