Raven Reads: Rebecca's Book Blog!
It's been a loooong time coming but I finally finished this book! And it wasn't the book's fault that it took me so long, it was life. After I was finally able to continue reading I read the book in a week! Fire and Bone by Rachel A. Marks is the first in the Otherborn series. It follows main hero...

Disclaimer: Reviewing uncorrected proof on NetGalley This seemed like one of those genre-bridging stories that you're technically not supposed to do, but that often work so well. There are elements of Urban Fantasy, Paranormal, and Contemporary Fantasy in the mix, and it sort of hovers on the edge...

I’ve loved the Dark Cycle series. Because I love a bit of magical mayhem with a demonic mix of wit and witchery. Phew. So Darkness Savage is part 3 – the ending maybe, I don’t know but certainly it ties up an awful lot of stuff regarding Aiden and his sister, Rebecca and her struggle and all the h...

I’ve been trying to deny it. I told myself we’d have time, that maybe nothing would happen this ye...

I LOVED this one. Thanks to Khan for bringing it to my attention.Darkness Brutal is a Young Adult urban fantasy story that has some really terrific and imaginative world building, a cast of eclectic characters all of whom were well drawn and emotionally connectable and a really rocketing plot with m...

[I received a copy through NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review.]The beginning of this novel was interesting and full of promises, combining Aidan and his sister Ava being targetted by demons to a mysterious man, Sid, gathering gifted youth with abilities to see and/or touch the supernatural....

A rather depressing short story but it grabbed me in. It starts with a father walking out on his two daughters and sick wife, taking all their food, leaving them in a shack on a snow covered mountain and it gets worse. The little romance between Rose and Luke is near the end.
