Some of Rachel Barnard's greatest accomplishments have been eating an entire half-gallon of ice cream in one sitting, winning a boot toss and a Pinewood Derby race, and publishing Ataxia and the Ravine of Lost Dreams. My father says that I've written my autobiography more times than he can count and when I started writing at such a young age, what did I have to talk about? I have a lot to write about, the aforementioned Derby race happened before I was ten, for example. I can't recall the exact moment I decided to become a writer because it was never a decision for me, it was just what I was interested in doing. I have written poetry (my compiled poetry is available in Wandering Imagination), short opinion pieces, short stories, and novels. I never stop dreaming and aspiring as an author. You can find me in the greater Seattle area at one of my numerous activities gathering subject matter and motivation from those around me.
