Good book, not great. Definitely for middle grades. Not much depth. The heroine finished her next-to-impossible task in about five minutes. But a nice, fast read.

Wow. This book is defiantly more for the middle school set but I loved it. I joined a book club last week and was going through a list of books that they had previously read and discussed. the Riley Bloom series was listed. I liked the premise since I'm a little burnt out on the typical paranormal b...

So. This was unpleasant.I bought this book, unaware that a) Alyson Noel is a notoriously careless and, to be blunt, horrible writer; and b) that this book was part of a spin-off series– I had thought it was a stand-alone book. So, you could say I went into this book with little to no expectations, h...

This is definitely a cute start to a younger YA series. I wasn't a huge fan of Ever and her stories, and I didn't finish up that series. This one is short enough that even if I don't much like them, I can still get to the end. Riley is spunky, overly confident, and still adorable. She and Buttercup ...

I started out by liking the idea behind the book but not the characters. Life after death is always fascinating to me, though this version is rather depressing to my sensibilities because I don't like the idea of having to continue the life I left, just on a different plane with different skills and...

True fans of The Immortals Series by Alyson Noel will love this spin off book told in the eyes of Ever's deceased sister, Riley. This story is about Riley's existance into the afterplace, after leaving her sister's world of the living. In true Noel style, you are captured by the fantastic way she ...

I have to admit I was disappointed in this quick novel. I was excited to pick it up being that it sounded like an adventure! It turned out boring at times and I found it hard to push through. It was a very easy read though, as it is targeting 'tweens'.Riley is 12 years old and didn't quite make it t...
