I had to adjust my expectations a bit, as I thought this book took place in a more "typical" medieval-like fantasy setting. Hmm, this sounds really good and seems to have gotten some good reviews. Then this pulled me up short:"But when one of the monsters attacks her boyfriend—thereby ruining any chance of him taking her to the prom—Astrid finds herself headed to Rome to train as a unicorn hunter at the ancient cloister...
I really liked this book! In the beginning it was slow reading but things really take off soon enough. Once you understand the history involved it becomes easily believeable - something I never expected out of a book involving killer unicorns. I easily recommened this book!

I really enjoyed it, although I'm still not sure about kille...
