Matt lost his parents at age of 9 and lived with his mother's half sister who only after his inheritance. He was being neglected and not being taken care of by his aunt and now he got into trouble with a friend who broke into a warehouse and got caught by a security guard. This is not the worst. ...
This book was... ok.And I'm not entirely sure why I didn't like it more than I did. I guess I'm older than the "target group", maybe that has something to do with it..? The story itself is good, lots of action and things happening all through the book. Maybe it is the writing style that doesn't appe...
What possessed me to read this book? Well, a couple years back i saw a couple of episodes of a series called Foyle's War. The screenwriter was (is) Horowitz. This was a quick read. It's a scholastic book, so it's written for a teen age audience. I really liked it, and am going out today to get the 2nd book in the series. It has enough suspense to keep you reading wondering what is going to happen next. Two thumbs up.
The book was well written, engaging, and interesting. I, however do not think a book geared toward children such as this one should have that many killings in it.
