Sometimes you just need Old School which is what I wanted. Classic Stephanie James - Older hero, experienced, bitter/cold/untrusting, bad with women, uber alpha. Innocentish, determined, positive, naive heroine who saves the hero emotionally.
This novel was good in some aspects and not so good in others. This ebook re-issue of the original 1980s novel had great suspense. How was she going to convince Raven that his clients were lying and that it was a matter of life and death. The antagonism between the main characters helped the story...
It's Ms. Krentz romance book. What can I say? Generally I enjoy her books. This one was just a little off for me. I still am a fan of Ms. Krentz.
