Raymond Huber is children's writer, teacher, and freelance editor. His latest book, Flight of the Honey Bee, was voted an ALA Notable Book and Outstanding Science Book. He's a hobby beekeeper and has written four books about honey bees: two junior novels, a picture book and a guide to bees. Huber has also written cautionary poems about mobile phones and other technology ('Global Norman'); and has edited science books including 'Ecology and the Environment'.His passions are children's books, science and peace - his website has reviews; short stories for children, essays on children's literature; and a blog about writing and science: www.raymondhuber.co.nz Raymond has lived mostly in the South Island of New Zealand and has enjoyed the outdoor lifestyle there.
