A good read for the most part, although the hero was a bit more of a charming jerk than was likable at times.

This one didn't have quite the same charm the first one had. I think maybe there were several things that interfered with my enjoyment. There was a sense of sameness in that exceedingly hot bad boy H falls for plain spinster - didn't that happen with his parents? Oh, and the short story that introdu...

Adrian and CharlotteHonestly, I can't remember why I liked these books. The heroines are intolerable in there whining and lack of self respect. I couldn't finish the audio. Dropped my rating to three stars.

Not as good as the first one. There wasn't quite enough conflict in this for me, so the plot fell a little flat. I also wasn't thrilled about the whole storyline with Etienne basically killing Francis and Elinors first son, the one she is pregnant with at the end of Ruthless. All in all though it wa...

This was a bit of a letdown for me. Though it's fair to say that Ruthless, the previous book in the series, is a hard act to follow. The writing itself is solid, and it's still compulsively readable. This book just came with some extra eye-rolling material. First, there were consent issues, which we...

Originally posted on PPSS' Sexy Reads.Anne Stuart puts her own refreshing twist on the regency era romance in this hilarious and heartwarming tale of unlikely love. Be warned it isn’t your typical bodice ripper romance, though don’t get me wrong some undergarments do get shredded. It is funny, sexy ...

Big shiny five stars!!!!I flat out LOVED every second of this book. I remember the first in the series being a bit depressing, and this one still had a bit of a slummy feel. (Though I still loved it!) However, we all know that this is a ROMANCE, and a historical one at that. So there WILL be a h...

Charlotte is considered a spinster at her age of 30, now she gets the chance to acompany her friend to a Heavenly Host gathering to see what she´s missing. Secretly in love with Adrian since many years, she doesn´t know how to react when he approaches her at the meeting. A secondary romance in this ...

What can I say about a book where I enjoyed the secondary romance (between the courtesan and the parson) better than the lead?
