THE LEGENDARY THRILLER THAT CREATED DR HANNIBAL LECTER Will Graham was a brilliant profiler of criminals for the FBI - until he suffered terrible injuries in the process of capturing Dr Hannibal 'the Cannibal' Lecter. Years later, a serial killer nicknamed 'the Tooth Fairy' is massacring entire fami...

Like a poisonous snake on the attack, this novel bites again and again and again, leaving its victim shaken and disturbed. I am somehow one of the only people in the known universe who had never read anything by Thomas Harris — I’ve remedied that, and am now moving on to this book’s follow-up, Silen...

I read Red Dragon over a decade ago, and, while I have no need to reread it (I remember every little cringe-inducing detail), it has popped up on my 17 Books for People Who Hate People Reading Challenge. So here's a review.I don't think there's a single bad thing to be said about Red Dragon. It's on...

Here's a book I've been meaning to read for a very long time (being the birthplace of one the most prominent fictional monsters of the 20th Century) but, in all honesty, the only reason I eventually bumped it up my to-read list was because I've been rather enjoying the Hannibal television series (de...

I'm so happy that I reread this book. Pretty much as soon as I read the last page I was thinking of starting over again. Having reread this book with more of an acquaintance with William Blake's work I feel I actually got more out of the story than I had previously, seeing more connection between Bl...

This is going to be a fanboy review, but I adore Thomas Harris. He exemplifies everything I want to be as a writer(if I can ever call myself that): economy and completeness. You don't lose any details of the story, but he dosen't weigh you down with boring, page-skipping unnecessaries. This is the p...

Man, I took FOREVER to read this book. Not because it wasn't interesting, but because it was so fact-driven that you can't just fly through it without taking into consideration what is being told. I am glad I read this book because I always wanted to read the book where Hannibal Lecter first appeare...

So I had started this once before and only made it 20 pages, put it down, and came back to it this time, and I zipped through it. I enjoyed the deeper look into Dolarhyde and Lector and how Lector got captured, and it made the movie that much more enjoyable
