The "Van Hagar" version of Van Halen is my favorite, but this book wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Bought it for DH who breezed through it (I love to see him read! He does it so seldom!), but I had a little more trouble with it. Good enough read, just not what I expected, I guess.

I have to be honest, this book bored me up until Sam speaks of joining Van Halen.I really didn't care about how he earned his first ten cents, how he met neighbours to jam with, and his idiotic girlfriend who would later become his first wife. I just didn't care. Why? Because I'm a Van Halen fan....
