May 27-June 18Mare Barrow’s world is divided by blood—those with common, Red blood serve the Silver-blooded elite, who are gifted with superhuman abilities. Mare is a Red, scraping by as a thief in a poor, rural village, until a twist of fate throws her in front of the Silver court. There, before th...

Mare is a Red, essentially "slaves" or worker bees for the Silvers who possess powers that keep the reds in their place. Her destiny changes with an unexpected encounter and things progress from there. The fantasy novel has Hunger Games similarities to it and has an engaging plot with interesting ch...

I really enjoyed this book. It was fun watching Mare come into her own power. The story will probably take off on other tangents, there is no point coming into your power if you aren’t ultimately challenged. The writing was great and really well paced. Finished it in no time.

I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about Red Queen. I had high hopes based on many of the reviews, and I'm wondering if that's what left me a bit ambivalent. On some level, I expected more than what I felt. One of the primary reasons I didn't connect more with this book was the main charac...

Killings and fighting, and all in the name of glory.I'm slightly disappointed that a couple people didn't get what they deserved, but hopefully that is coming in the next book. The idea of t...

I first read this book in May 2015. At the time, I had not read that many dystopian/fantasy YA novels. I can say I have read a lot more now, and my opinion of this book has chance just a tiny bit. My rating is still the same though! I decided to re-read the series before starting King's Cage becau...
want a real life adventure? come to Australia we have spiders bigger than your hand.
Love how deviously evil and treacherous the end turned out to be. Every one thought they were playing everyone else and in the end they all got fucked over. Oh how I loved it. Bit saddening how most of my favorite characters are dead. Hopefully there are more brilliant revenge schemes to come. 4 S...

This is a world divided by blood – red or silver. The Reds are commoners, ruled by a Silver elite in possession of god-like superpowers. And to Mare Barrow, a seventeen-year-old Red girl from the poverty-stricken Stilts, it seems like nothing will ever change. That is, until she finds herself workin...

Red Queen is a book about the divide between two groups of people based on an uncontrollable physical attribute. There are the reds, the poor who live in slums, know what real work feels like (those that can get work) and in every way viewed as inferior. Then there are the silvers, the rich and the ...
