19/5 - The story was good, but it was let down by past, present and future tense confusion. The sentences would start out in the past tense and then halfway through change to present tense etc. It made for broken reading because I kept having to go back and re-read the sentences to work out when t...
A cute sometimes funny story with lots of southern country singin', talkin', and slang and the plot touched on a serious issue but the thirty year old heroine was an entrepreneur and her romantic behavior seemed more like a teenager. Cowboy Wil checks into Pearl's hotel when his electricity goes ou...
Red's Hot Cowboy by Carolyn BrownPearl rescued Will Maxwell from the police that dragged him away. I liked this one better than the first one. I think this one had more depth. The pacing is good as well. Looking forward to the next. One thing though- I don't expect this in a historical, but expect to see a mention about having safer sex in contemporaries. There is no mention of using any typ...
It was a cute easy read. No real conflict, everything was just easy... Its a heartwarming light read, if you are in the mood for cowboys check it out. It did have some small nit picky things that irritated me, but those are my pet peeve issues. lol

This book is just sweet as butter on fried chicken, oh wait, that wasn't a good one, I am not good at creating these sayings. B...
drey’s thoughts: Carolyn Brown totally owns the cowboy-romance segment of the market. Seriously. Her heroes are hunky and sexy, and completely droolworthy. Her heroines are beautiful and strong, and total smart-alecks. And her stories will make even the most cynical misty-eyed and wistful. What’s no...
Katy Pearl Richland quits her job as a banker and retires her party hat when her aunt Pearlinda leaves her an old hotel that resembles the one out of the movie Psycho.Red’s Hot Cowboy is the first book that I’ve read by Carolyn Brown, though I do own all of her other books. I really didn’t know what...
