Read for the Sept.-Flavor-of-the-month-challengeNice enough read, overall a rushed feeling.

Enjoyed this enough while I was reading it, but it's not really something that I can see myself wanting to revisit or reread again. I think my main problem was the narrator/narrative voice - just didn't connect much with him or the flow of his voice. That said, firemen = yay, and the love interest...

Hot firemen! Love me some hot firemen!Dirk is a firefighter and an asshole. No one in the firehouse really likes Dirk. He's an asshole. Dirk gets hurt in a fire and lands in the hospital.Lee is the newbie. He's young, he's hot and he's gay. He's sent to visit Dirk in the hospital. The attraction betw...

3.5 starsFor some reason, this got shuffled into my tbr shelf and forgotten about for much longer than it should have been. I was delightfully surprised at how much I found myself liking the characters and the story. Even Dirk, whom the blurb billed as just this giant asshole. Perhaps I was prepa...

Couldn't resist reading this one because of the firefighters on the cover! This is a fairly standard story about Dirk, who has not come out, falling for Lee, the new firefighter at the station. There is some action and rescues and a nice HEA. A good short story. 3.5 stars.

This was better than my first impression, I read the sample a while ago but found the main character abrasive, and his love interest too cocky.I saw that it was on lendle though so I signed up for it, and I am glad I did. This story is brain candy, you can see what is going to happen a mile away, bu...

I loved this book I really did. It had a nice story to it and the characters were great. Dirk and Lee were a great couple in this. Although in the beginning Dirk was a complete ass it was nice to see him save Lee. He is a very complex character in a lot of ways. Lee is a more simplistic character an...

I did like this but there were a few things that annoyed me off the bat. 1) I don't know any firefighters personally but the impression I get is that they are very supportive, and I have a hard time believing no one visited him in the hospital after he nearly died by rescuing a baby from a burning ...

One of the better Andrew Grey stories I've read. It was the right amount of sweetness, angst and anger in this short story. I liked Dirk even though sometimes I made the mistake of reading 'Dick' because he acted like one but it was necessary for the plot and he is redeemable at the end of the story...

The start of the love story was kind of abrupt: MC lies in hospital after rescuing a baby in a fire, other MC is sent to bring over flowers with greetings from the team because nobody likes the guy. Because he is a mean a**hole. But the young, new guy calls him immediately on it. And that's it. Then...
