Vampire Aidan Murphy has founded the peaceful town of Penton, Alabama, consisting of vampires and bonded humans with pure blood that have never been tainted with a vaccine deadly to vampires. Dr. Krystal Harris has unknowingly been sought out for her uncontaminated blood and background by the town...
Oh happy day! After a few aborted attempts, I've finally found a new vampire series I can....enjoy (bet you thought I was going to say sink my teeth into, huh?)Loved the story, loved the vamps and humans, even the bad guys.Borrowed this one from the Amazon Lending Library...and immediately bought the...
This is the first book in the Penton Legacy Series by Susannah Sandlin. This series was on my radar for a while, especially after I read an interview with the author on another blog, but I hadn't yet read it until the tour from Bewitching Book Tours came along. As far as I can tell, the story happ...
I so wanted to like this book but I couldn't see the hero as a leader. He just let his brother run amok and dozens of people had to die for him to put his big girl panties and take care of business.I also didn't buy his relationship with the heroine. It was just too out of the blue. Not interested en...

What didn't work for me was the heroine being kidnapped, held in a b...

If I really enjoy a particular book, it almost always has to do with the world-building. Any book that sucks me into a unique world, takes a hold of my imagination and doesn’t let...
3.5 StarsAfter a devastating virus reduced the world's human population and then the vaccine to treat the global pandemic left the blood of most remaining humans poisonous, many vampires now find themselves on the verge of starvation. Competition is fierce for the few humans who didn't have the vacc...
