4 stars... a solid, lovely and precious book by Carla Kelly where romance is slow burn; where you can't but end up loving the characters. Then again, that's why I read Ms. Kelly's books. Sometimes they just make me grin like a lunatic, and I end up feeling so happy for the couples involved! :D Ref...

I can't improve on Lady Wesley's review on Goodreads, where she says that this book is one of the best Traditional Regencies she's ever read. Totally agree! We need to come up with a list of "10 Best Traditional Regencies ever published" - I would definitely insist on this one being on that li...

What a wonderful book. When was the last time I liked a heroine this much? Emma's story touched me deeply. Do not judge the book by its cover: it is not a romance book; better yet, it is a love story. I read this book in less than 12 hours; I was that engrossed in the story. My review would be, basi...

(Not counting paranormals, where bigotry is safely against werewolves or vampires or what have you.) Of course, he's a good man at heart and is transformed by the...

So much fun to read! This was recently re-released as an e-book. The growth between the characters. How hard the heroine worked to obtain her goals. How the hero transformed from a cad into hero material. The heart wrenching past both of them suffered and how it intersected. The glimpse into ho...

I was pretty skeptical reading this book because I knew it was "kisses only" and I prefer a bit more heat than that. Surprisingly, though, the story was so good and the writing so great that it didn't matter. I loved Lord Ragsdale and Emma and their romance was sweet and perfect. Highly recommend.
