National-selling Wisconsin-based author, REJI LABERJE, has written dozens of books with multiple traditional and non-traditional publishers. She has not been typed having written everything from sports, to inspirational biography, to fantasy, to poetry, to plays, and more. Reji has also developed numerous writing programs to help guide fellow writers at all levels. She has been writing for her entire life and decided to make her passion her career in 1997 when she started Reji Laberje Author Programs, LLC. She lives outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she is active in church, her family's many activities, and community service with her husband since 1996, Joe, their three children, and their many pets. (Okay - the pets don't do much in way of community service!) Reji's unique writing business, staffed with creative, hard-working lovers of the written word, is depicted in her company's vision:"Meaningful writing to, for, and from you to make far-reaching, positive impacts."We write TO YOU, combining many years of experience in young adult literature and education with today's full-sensory, non-linear, progressive approach for writing, to create books across many genres that will be appreciated by kids and adults, alike. When eliciting writing FROM YOU through a number of customizable workshops, assemblies, and classes, we use interactive learning processes that make the written word accessible to writers at every level, in every genre, from K-4 through adulthood. Collaboratively writing FOR YOU, Reji Laberje Author Programs is your trusted partner. Having written with celebrities, business professionals and experts across a variety of fields, we've developed a process that is efficient, effective, respectful of your voice, and capable of turning your valuable stories into a captivating, well-loved, hard-to-put-down, life changing, tapestry of tales.Learn more at www.rejilaberje.com.Fun facts! --Reji met her first "traditional publisher" (Ascend Books with whom she wrote Dick Vitale's "Getting A W In The Game Of Life" and Bob Brenner's "Live An Extreme Life") while stuck in La Guardia airport in a fully-packed terminal where neither she nor the publisher was able to find seats near their actual planes!--Did you know Reji's first job (other than babysitting) was at a gun club? She's also sold kitchen wares, bartended, run a book store, dropped fry baskets, waitressed, taken phone orders in Spanish, tutored, taught in middle school (math, of all things), stocked a warehouse, sold flowers, and - her most important jobs - been a full-time Mom and wife. (In the 4th grade, though, she thought she'd grow up to be the first female quarterback for the NFL!)--One of Reji's proudest titles to claim is that of Air Force veteran; she served as an Arabic Linguist (still maintaining the ability to read the language) and worked with the National Security Agency. (She loves studying languages!)--Reji once worked as a spokesmodel on the weekly cable television show, "Motorsports Unlimited" out of Chicago, Illinois.--While Reji's most cherished movies and music come from the 1940's era, she is an unashamed, die-hard fan of Jackie Chan movies! (She loves going to the movies and her favorite part of the experience is the trailers.)--The first book that ever made Reji cry was "Bridge to Terabithia" by Katherine Paterson. Years later, Reji got to hear Ms. Paterson speak at a publishing conference and she moved her to tears, once again.--Reji has lived on three of the four "borders" of the continental U.S. to the south, east, and west. (Although, Wisconsin is pretty darned close to the northern border!)--In Reji's imagination, she has cast several of her books as movies, already, to include Josh Hutcherson in Cooper Ridge (although he had the nerve to grow up!), Hayden Panettiere in The Pinecone Legend, Freddy Highmore (who also grew up) in The Tale Travelers, and more!--Reji will be the first to tell you she can't sing outside of a choir. However, it was WITH a choir that she twice had the honor of singing the national anthem to open Major League Baseball games at Camden Yards--Reji keeps a list of inspirational people for whom she would one day like to write. Want to know who's on it??? She'll tell you when the books come out!--Reji's hair has been: blonde, black, brown, red, and even blue . . . often more than one of these colors at a time.--With years of acting experience, Reji's children often make fun of her reading, writing, and presenting as each of these acts includes animated repetition of "right" words complete with actions before she's considers it audience-perfect!--Reji is hard to find in the summer as she and her family hook up the trailer and camp all over the state and country.
