This was a one of the hardest books I've read...broke my heart so many times, made me angry so many times...I need to come back for the review. Fantastic book though.
What was I thinking that kept me from finish reading this book. BDSM and the protag is imprisoned,those elements alone had me going after must lighter tone books. Jerna is a wonderful exploration into one man's ability to sacrifices, compassion, love, and hate. tbc....
This book did not disappoint my expectations. Sometimes it's stifling, then cathartic or exciting: a roller coaster of emotions. Jerna is a bit "Mary Sue" but, in *this* case, it's an absolutely forgivable sin.
I didn't purposely write any comments after reading Remastering Jerna. I wanted to think about it, mull over it, decide why I liked it and why it moved me. It was captivating. I was almost nervous to start reading this book, but I am glad I did. A very gentle soul experiences lies, betrayal, brut...
