From her early teens, Renee' entertained as a ventriloquist and country/western singer. Later, as a devoted wife and home-school mom, she took on extra challenges from coaching her boys' sports teams to organizing and running groups and events. In more recent years, she can play a mean game of pool--and also loves to swim in a pool--not at the same time, of course. When she has time, she dabbles in graphic designs and photography.Published in multiple short story anthologies, magazines, and newspapers, Renee' loves writing fiction and nonfiction."I grew up with an addiction for reading and writing. If it was written, I had to read it. If it wasn't written, I had to write it." Playing with her grandchildren and volunteering for the local schools keep Renee' on the move. She also runs a local critique group for children's book writers in Oklahoma, where she lives happily with her husband, their nervous Corgi and two fighting fish.Renee' connects with her fans at www.reneelaviness.com or at facebook.com/Author.ReneeLaviness.
