It was a bad weekend to read this I think. I enjoyed the mystery, Peabody's family visit and the cat & mouse game between Eve and the murderer. But the flashbacks of Eve's childhood were too much for me this outing. I don't know if I'm getting more sensitive or if I was already just too sad after...
I enjoyed the book. I especially loved the glimpse in Eve's past. I really wanna know all there is to know about it. I liked the plot and the disagreements. Loved Peabody's parents. Great chars all around. Missed Summerset a bit, he was hardly ever around.
Amazing! Great to see more of Peabodys family in it and that it's a year of marriage for Roarke & Eve. So good to see continuing characters and how there lives are going. Also Eve finally deals with some of her past which was really heart breaking but well written. Really great read!
How wonderful...my first (on the "rereading cycle") that I never have read. Oh man, this has some of the absolute BEST interaction among Eve, Roarke, Peabody, etc.
Enjoyed listening to more escapades of Eve and Roarke. This was a good one. Will continue to listen to the series as audiobooks or read them if audio is unavailable.
