Usually I try to avoid books with serial killer plots but this series has always been the exception. For whatever reason I always enjoy reading about Lucas and his cohorts. This entry hints at some big changes both professionally and personally for Lucas which makes me eager to read the next book ...
I liked this one a lot. Thought the ending was a bit anticlimactic, but I enjoyed seeing more of Lucas' relationship with Weather. Wish we had seen more of the kids, though. And Virgil is always a good addition. LOL.

While I would not rank this entry up with the best books in the series (too much relationship angst) it was still well worth listening to since Richard Ferrone did his usual stellar job with the narration.
An excellent addition to the Lucas Davenport series. In fact, this was the Lucas of the early years, the one who walks a very fine line between cop and vigilante. One GLARING continuity error from the previous Davenport book (Storm Prey), but nothing plot related. And OMG!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE SANDFORD...
