I did actually quite enjoy the story, but why on earth does Dan Brown feel compelled to work every piece of research he's done into the finished novel? (and wtf is an "anticyclonic vorticity spiral"?)

I expected more out of David Horwitz book. Although, it was a good read, I wouldn't call it great. Plus, it was dry in parts.
