This huge volume continues the story about how the Elephantmen and their human companions cope in this post-war scenario. All the major characters, animal and human, are well catered for and bring humour and pathos to the plot. There’s a lot going on and, with a variety of artists, the end product i...

This long volume (took me a long time to read!) tells the story of a world in which animals are enhanced to serve as fighters – the Elephantmen – and what becomes of them when they turn against humans and the consequences of this. A variety of stories and artists make this collection worth a read ...

I was looking forward to a Justice League that had the two newest Green Lanterns on it and seeing them work with the more experienced members, but this was just disappointing. There wasn't much of getting to see the team all interacting with each other. Instead, the focus was more on the villains de...

There are plenty of flaws here, but the overall tone & direction seem to be correct. An improvement over the Nu52.

It ended the way it started: weird, convoluted, and just not really doing it for me. Not sure why I read this, or finished it, but I'm glad it's over.

Blargh. This is turning out to be weird and it's just dragging out the story at this point. And it's boring me a little. Will I finish? Yes. I still want to know what happens to Gambit and the angel, and there's only one more issue left. But if there had been more, I probably won't slog t...

Although oddly compelling. And since it's on MU, I'm willing to finish this up as I'm interested in where this is going. I wish this didn't get so bizarre, or used its own mythology, rather than depending on a religion that is dominant in this society: it makes it seem weird as it has to confor...

Also, he gets berated by this black woman's astral spirit about being religious. Yeah, it's gonna be another weird Judeo-Christian Marvel story. Yay? We'll see. I'm enjoying Gambit in general, because he's good with a little thief thrown in for good measure, but I'm not sure how I'll feel ...

I don't usually ship Karen/Matt, but this makes me ship them. Hard. This is pretty much Daredevil: Season one, done better. It's pretty much the same stories, but whereas DD: Season One told it as if it were any other comic retelling, this one added an emotional level that made me far more inv...

This started off so well. When someone is having halucinations, the doors are wide open. However, the moment another character sees the same halucination, it wraps it up, sticks a gift card on and ties a bow on it. You're either dealing with mind control or the main character is in a coma/machine. W...
