Sometimes known by family and friends as "the other Richard Thomas" when a slightly younger American actor of the same name was starring in the US soap The Waltons as John Boy, this Richard Thomas is a British journalist and author born in 1943 currently writing historical fiction after a spell in what used to be called London's Fleet Street and many years publishing self-help health books and ghost-writing for others. Not all of some 20 books are with Amazon, sadly, but he is making one last effort to add to his meagre list. He also now quite fancies himself as a playwright and screenwriter as a followup to his other private passion for acting and directing. Dreaming, he says, is what authorship is all about after all.
