My love for animals shines through all of my artwork. When I am outside I am always on the look out for anything that moves. What was that bug that zippped by? Which bird did I just hear sing? Where is that rabbit hopping to? These are all questions that run through my thoughts.Then I go looking for answers. I read everything I can including books, magazines, websites. I like to find an expert who can answer my questions, too. I often learn many things that surprise me. For 20 years I lived on a farm in Wisconsin. I grew my own food, and had a huge garden. I raised chickens and had horses, dogs, and cats. I loved watching the seasons come and go from my old farmhouse. Now I live in an old house in the city of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and I love learning about animals that live here. It is a whole new adventure! I live just blocks away from the Mississippi river where I like to hike and kayak. Most of my books have been nonfiction based on facts I have learned. I also love telling stories, so I am working on ideas for fiction books based on character.
