I live in Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University. I've been married longer than my wife likes to admit, and have two grown children, Josh and Elizabeth, and four beautiful grandchildren. Molly, Charlie, Josie, and Lily!I lost my blind black Lab, Max, fifteen months ago. He a was great friend who also served as my "writing" dog. He pushed me hard to get to the writing room each morning so he could snore on his rug while I did all the work. I still miss him but we've added Braxton and Beaux over the last year, a chocolate lab and boxer/Lab mix who we rescued, and they're getting it, sort of. Not bad for 18 month old pups. I'm an older writer. I started about twelve years ago and got the first story I wrote, Herb's Home Run, published in Writer's Journal. I've been hooked since then. I lost my real job six years ago and after 600 resumes with no luck, decided I was going to make it as a writer, and here I am. Caribbean Moon was a labor of love, and writing it taught me more about myself than I cared to know. (My wife thinks I should keep my mind a secret!)But it also taught me to expect more of myself and I do.I finished the second book in this series, Deceitful Moon, a couple of months later and have completed eight in the series, Emerald Moon, Caribbean Rain, Carolina Rain, Vegas Rain, Caribbean Fire, and Miami Fire, just released, plus five short stories, another first in a series, Drop Dead Perfect, and an epic Fantasy called Seer, also just released. I was also fortunate enough to participate in an anthology with six other mystery writers, The Killing Sands. I'm currently working on Perfect Sinners, the sequel to Drop Dead Perfect. Manny Blue and Black Max, a short story honoring Old Max and taking place when Manny was a rookie, is now available. I've not made it yet to where I believe God is taking us, but we're on that road, and I want to be a living example that with hard work and God's blessing, you can do anything. I want to encourage you to go for that special thing you've been dying to try...one never knows!
