I was born in Cardiff, Wales in 1944, in 1953 my family immigrated to Canada. I was educated in Victoria and the Vancouver School of Art, majoring in the fine and commercial arts. My career, until retirement in 2003, was with the BC Government as a scientific technical officer (cartographer) and graphic artist. In my off hours I set designed for theater companies and illustrated for magazines and company branding identity. I am a qualified personal fitness trainer. On my retirement I became a writer; now I spend my time traveling, writing, painting and designing. I have a daughter, Kim, who is director of Tumbleweeds Theater in Victoria BC. I live in the Pacific Northwest half the year, the rest, out there. Thailand has become my favorite place to spend winters writing and illustrating my protagonist Jonathan B. Owen. I spent the winter of 2012/13 in Sayulita, Mexico writing my next book now online, LAUGHING DOG. I will probably write book #10 in Southeast Asia this winter 13/14.
